Johnny was doing Cash songs at
karaoke for fun on Friday nights  and
started receiving comments like "I
thought it was a CD playing 'till I saw
you singing" and "Wow that creeped
me out man" from folks at the
karaoke joint. Johnny decided to take
his deep admiration for Mr. Cash a
step farther by starting a Tribute
band honoring the legendary pioneer
of rockabilly music

By no means does Johnny consider
himself an impersonator, just a fan
with a similar voice, a love of music,
and desire to bring a good Ol’ time to
a venue near you!!

However, this is neither Johnny's nor
the rest of the bands first musical
venture together or separately, The
Dead Birds being a longtime project
and also Johnny, Kat, and Louie were
founders of the now on hold "The Pet
Pervs".

JD has played in several bands across
the South. Jesse is a songwriter and
member of
"The Pet Pervs".

So this isn't some Karaoke Dude
trying to be a musician! There’s over
60 years of musical experience
between everyone in the Dead Birds,
therefore you can expect an
absolutely great show and you will
not go home unsatisfied!!!
